How to play
Play-money chips
Everyone starts with 1,000 chips that are not money and cannot be bought. The game is won by whoever ends up with all the chips.
Each hand
Standard 52-card deck, clockwise. The dealer button (D) moves one seat each hand; the two players to its left post the small and big blinds (heads-up, the dealer posts the small blind). Everyone gets two private cards. There are four betting rounds: pre-flop, after the flop (three community cards), after the turn (the fourth) and after the river (the fifth). On your turn you can check if nobody has bet, bet, call, raise or fold. It is no-limit: you can go all in. The minimum raise is the last raise (at least the big blind). If you run out of chips you stay in the hand (all in) but can only win what you matched: the rest forms side pots.
Winning the pot
If everyone else folds, the last player wins the pot without showing. Otherwise cards are shown and the best five-card hand using your two cards and the five community cards wins. Ties split the pot.
Hand ranking, best to worst
- Straight flush (A-K-Q-J-10 is the royal flush)
- Four of a kind
- Full house: three of a kind plus a pair
- Flush: five cards of the same suit
- Straight: five cards in a row (the ace can be high or low: A-2-3-4-5)
- Three of a kind
- Two pair
- Pair
- High card
Rising blinds
Blinds go up every 6 hands: 10/20, 15/30, 25/50, 40/80, 60/120, 100/200… Online you have 40 seconds to act; when time runs out you check (or fold if there was a bet to call).
Strategy tips
- Play mostly high pairs and big cards together (A-K, A-Q, K-Q); fold weak, unconnected hands.
- Acting last is an advantage: play more hands near the button.
- Count your outs: after the flop, outs × 4 ≈ your chance to hit by the river; after the turn, outs × 2.
- If checking is free, never fold: the app asks before you do.
